This year we'd like to expand the program by promoting it more prominently on our website, spreading the message by word of mouth and events, and posting on volunteer search websites. Remember to call in or send us a feedback form when you do a clean-up on your road so that we can get have the most updated information on how Adopt-a-Street members are keeping Asheville clean. How to get involved If you're interested in making a more long-term commitment to your neighborhood, contact Quality Forward concerning adopting a street. Adopters agree to clean their street at least four times a year. The city will provide a sign identifying you, your group, or your business as the adopter of the street after your have completed two cleanups. As Quality Forward is a local, project-oriented, 'hands-on' group, members have the satisfaction of seeing problems solved and goals acomplished, right here. The enjoyable bonus is meeting and working with other local volunteers. Bob Tinkler |
